Meeting Minutes of the Pole and Conduit Commission Special Small Cell Meeting held October 17, 2019

To ensure the safety of the public and City staff, in-person appointments at City buildings, including contactless holds pick-up at the Cambridge Public Library, will continue to be suspended until at least Monday, February 1, 2021 as well. While City buildings will remain closed to the public, City offices will be open, and many City services can be accessed online or over the telephone.

Biography: Zeenat Potia teaches meditation in Buddhist and secular spaces, and has taught at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center since 2014. She practices vipassana at CIMC and the Insight Meditation Society, and has over 15 years of meditation training, including extensive silent retreat experience in the Early Buddhist tradition. Zeenat is committed to healing and recovery through trauma-sensitive mindfulness. She is an instructor for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare’s Mind the Moment program and works directly with corporations, non-profit organizations and universities in the delivery of secular mindfulness programs. Celebrate Jasmine Warga's new book, The Unlikely Tale of Chase and Finnegan, about an unlikely friendship between a cheetah and a rescue dog who are paired as an animal ambassador team at a zoo — at this special event. Meet animals from The Zoo in Forest Park (Springfield, MA) and discover the amazing adaptations that help them survive in the wild. Ask questions and learn what you can do to protect wildlife. Recommended for children ages 6 and up. This event is part of a special series promoting our 2026 Curious George Lecture with Jasmine Warga, award-winning author of A Rover's Story, Other Words for Home and many other popular children's books. Funding is generously provided by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation. Save the Date: the Lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 6 p.m. at the Main Library.

Through this program, Electrify Cambridge will provide no-cost advising by technical specialists on all measures that can electrify a home or residential building. Those measures include heat pumps, solar panels, weatherization, water heaters, induction stoves, electric vehicle chargers, and more. Electrify Cambridge specialists will also help residents tap into all available state and federal incentives.

Learn basic music production skills with FL Studio, a digital music workspace. In this hands-on introductory class, become familiar with core tools for creating and arranging digital beats and melodies. Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training and Studio Recording training before registering for this workshop.
