Please join the Central Square Rezoning Project team for our final community meeting regarding potential updates to the zoning for Central Square. This meeting will begin with a presentation by City staff focusing on what we've heard thus far and how that has informed the preliminary zoning recommendations. It will be followed by a robust public discussion where community members can share their feedback and input.

The "Remembering Together" support group is for patrons who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Facilitated by the library social worker, this online group offers a safe and confidential online space for peers to come together, share common experiences and heal in community. With more than 80 participants submitting 115 photos and pieces of artwork, City staff selected an image of the Charles River at sunset for the 2026 Resident Parking Permit sticker.

Fifty additional benches would make public transportation more user-friendly and less stressful. Benches would also make these streets more hospitable for walking, shopping, and socializing for pedestrians of all ages and abilities.

The City’s Cycling Safety Ordinance calls for the City to build out a 25-mile network of separated bike lanes in the next five years. Separated bike lanes, which generally include space and vertical dividers that create a physical distance between bicycles and motor vehicles, improve safety and create a more comfortable environment.

Members of the community have until October 1, 2024 to submit ideas for projects to improve Cambridge and be part of next year’s budget.
