Throughout this Public Health crisis, I have worked closely with the City’s Public Health team to ensure that we are making the most informed decisions possible to protect the health and welfare of the entire Cambridge community. As part of that effort, we have been working to identify options to care for our homeless community or those unable to safely isolate or quarantine at their residence during this time.

Cambridge Department of Public Works (DPW) will deploy staff to perform curbside audits this summer. The personnel will place "Oops" tags on carts containing contaminants (non-recyclables items)

An Excavation and Trench Permit is required if you are excavating or trenching on private property or in a public right-of-way in the City of Cambridge.

Danehy Park is a popular, 50-acre park in north Cambridge. Residents and visitors enjoy the park’s athletic fields, walking paths, playgrounds, public art, dog park, and community events.

The Cambridge Police Department announced the promotions of 7 members to Lieutenants and Sergeants on October 18, 2024. At a ceremony held at the Cambridge Police Department, Police Commissioner Christine Elow promoted two officers to Lieutenants and five to Sergeants.
