The phased rollout of the Cambridge Police Department’s Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Program will serve as a critical step in strengthening transparency, accountability, and trust between officers and the community. This important initiative is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to public safety and comes after extensive planning, policy development utilizing national models, and best practices in training. The department has worked over the past two years to develop a program that meets the highest standards of accountability while protecting civil liberties.

Join Nancy Porter, Director of Resilience and Emergency Preparedness with the Cambridge Public Health Department, for a discussion on how to keep yourselves and others safe in hotter temperatures. Older adults are more vulnerable in periods of high temperatures because the body cools itself down less effectively - especially if you have medical conditions or take certain medications. Registration requested but not required.

Meet a cast of larger-than-life, hand-crafted puppet characters in this funny and interactive variety show. Sing, dance and participate in a fast-paced series of stories that explore feelings, kindness and bravery. Recommended for children ages 3-8 and their caregivers. There will be a COVID-19 vaccine clinic this Saturday, May 15th, from 9:30am - 12:00pm at the Cambridge Community Center located at 5 Callender St. in Cambridge. This clinic is a collaboration among the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) & Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), My Brother’s Keeper (MBK), City Manager’s Office, Mayor Siddiqui’s Office, Cambridge Community Center, and Tufts Medical School.
