Children will explore a mixture of instruments and rhythms for creative and fun musical experiments through this World Music/Percussion workshop! Registration is required. The City of Cambridge announced a new Electric Vehicle Charging Pilot Program that will allow charging of electric vehicles (“EV”) across City sidewalks. The new charging pilot program provides residents without driveway access the opportunity to charge EVs across the public sidewalk by applying for a new Across Sidewalk Electric Vehicle Charging permit.

This discussion is inspired by the Massachusetts Seal, Flag, and Motto Advisory Commission’s open call to artists, historians, educators, students, and members of the public to participate in the effort to redesign the state’s seal, flag, and motto. Established by the Legislature in 2024, the Commission is tasked with developing and recommending new symbols to represent the state through a statewide public process. After a reading from her work, Arnett will be joined in conversation by Jill McDonough, author of five books of poetry including American Treasure and Here All Night. Called "a perversely funny novel about family, ambition, and desire" (Shelf Awareness), STOP ME IF YOU'VE HEARD THIS ONE follows a professional clown, Cherry Hendricks, as she tries to stay true to her needs as a person as well as an artist.
