Calling all middle grade readers! Meet up in the Curious George Room every third Thursday to eat pizza and talk about books with your friends. This month's book is Plain Jane and the Mermaid. Snacks are provided. This group is for ages 10-12. Participants should read the book ahead of this month’s meeting. Registration is required. Join for a casual discussion of your recent reads relating to a monthly theme from your Summer Reading Bingo Board. No specific book required! This month's theme is: read a book with a color in the title. Enjoy light snacks, good company, and great book recommendations from your fellow readers! Celebrate the end of summer with neighbors old and new! We will have free food, games, crafts, bubbles and a clothing swap! All neighbors of any age are welcome. At 3:30 p.m. we will have a family-friendly concert with music by Music at the Blissful. This event will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather there will be modified activities inside the O'Neill Branch.

Take a break from your studies and join us for lunch! Free pizza will be provided while supplies last and you will have the chance to share your ideas for future events at O’Connell! If you have any dietary restrictions, please call the branch by Monday, Nov 24, 2025 at (617) 349-4019. This is a drop-in event designed for patrons ages 12-18. No registration required.

We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for a magical walk through nature. We will look for signs of fairies and build fairy houses. We will meet at Gerard Bergin Park (Haskell & Pemberton Streets), a short walk from the O'Neill Branch. In case of bad weather, this program will happen indoors at the O'Neill Branch. This program is presented as a part of the CPL Nature Club.
