The Cambridge Office of Early Childhood (OEC) works to develop an easily accessed, aligned and coherent system of affordable high-quality education and care that begins with prenatal care and extends through third grade in Cambridge. OEC also oversees the Cambridge Preschool Program, which provides access to free preschool for all Cambridge 4-year-olds.

The Affordable Housing Trust will hold a special meeting in-person and via Zoom webinar. This meeting will be held on February 11th at 4 p.m. at Cambridge City Hall Annex, 2nd Floor Conference Room. Cambridge Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Yi-An Huang today announced that the City of Cambridge will host a community meeting on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 6-8 p.m., at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. School, 102 Putnam Avenue to discuss the fatal officer-involved shooting of Sayed Faisal that occurred on January 4, 2023.

The City of Cambridge is extending the current prohibition on City-sponsored community events, events permitted for the use of City parks, or other City-sponsored public gatherings through March 31, 2021. Additionally, to ensure the safety of the public and City staff, in-person appointments at City buildings, including contactless holds pick-up at the Cambridge Public Library, will be suspended from Saturday, January 2, 2021, through Monday, January 18, 2021.
