The City of Cambridge is seeking volunteers to serve on a new Working Group to help guide the River Street Infrastructure and Streetscape Design Project.

The establishment of the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) property tax rate by the Board of Assessors, subject to the approval of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, is the final step in the fiscal process that begins with the submission of the annual budget to the City Council. The City’s Operating and Capital Budgets, property classifications, and property valuations are major factors in determining property tax bills.

The Dept. of Human Service Programs offers afterschool programs for Cambridge children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Open seats are filled by lottery.

The City of Cambridge and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) are seeking input from Cambridge residents on weekend closures of Memorial Drive to create Riverbend Park.

Beginning next week, the City will install Phase 1 of the Brattle Street Safety Improvement Project, between Mason Street and Sparks Street.

Expect weekend road closures and traffic impacts due to special events in the Port, East Cambridge, and Inman Square on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21.

The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer camps and programs to Cambridge children and youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. At these summer camps, children and youth learn new skills, make connections, and have fun! Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The online application process closes Sunday March 3.
