The City of Cambridge and Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing for Cambridge residents 4 days per week on with modified hours Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The site at 50 Church St. that previously offered testing will be discontinued beginning in June.

The Cambridge Water Department (CWD) would like to inform the Cambridge community about the latest water drought status. In mid-January, the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) elevated the Cambridge and Northeast region drought level status to Level 2 (Significant Drought). The Cambridge Police Department’s Crime Analysis Unit has identified an uptick in housebreaks in recent months. Over the past 2-3 months, there has been an increase in housebreak activity in The Port and Mid-Cambridge neighborhoods. Entry has been through unlocked doors and windows. Targeted items include electronics, jewelry, and cash.
