The City of Cambridge is proudly hosting multiple events to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year. Additionally, Many Helping Hands is once again hosting the MLK Day of Service.

In observance of the Indigenous Peoples' Day holiday on Monday, October 13, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations.

In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday on Monday, January 16, 2023, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed and curbside collection service will be suspended. Additionally, parking meter/pay station payments will not be required.

Cambridge, MA, May 24, 2023 – In observance of the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, May 29, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations.

The high temperatures and humidity in the summer can result in peak demand on New England’s electricity supply, especially during extreme heat, which can have air conditioners and fans working overtime.

Install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at three city-owned parking lots and other locations designated by the City. More public chargers support EV adoption, which improves air quality and benefits our environment.

Come to the Library for games and a different activity each week! Kids of all ages can hang out and do crafts or STEAM activities. No registration required. This week we will using air-dry clay!

For those who wish to use gym equipment while breathing fresh air, these fitness facilities offer two outdoor gyms as alternatives to paid indoor gyms, and make working out accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
