Harvard Book Store, the Harvard University Division of Science, the Harvard Library, and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Dr. Anjana Khatwa—award-winning earth scientist, TV presenter, and advocate for diversity in the geosciences and nature—for a discussion of her book The Whispers of Rock: The Stories That Stone Tells About Our World and Our Lives, a 2025 New Scientist Best Book of the Year. Registration is required.
Papel Picado (Main)
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by making your own papel picado ("pecked paper") inspired by beautiful folk art examples from Mexico. We will provide the tissue paper and scissors, you bring your imagination! Recommended for children ages 7 years old and up and their caregivers. Registration is not required for this event.
Summer Reading: ¡Música! with Mariana Iranzi (O'Neill)
Join us for a bilingual family concert in English and Spanish. Singing, dancing and tons of fun guaranteed! Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation and Friends of the Cambridge Public Library.
