Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Christine Elow announced today that over twenty-two years after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an unidentified man who entered her bedroom in the middle of the night, an investigative breakthrough has resulted in the identification and arrest of Roger W. Reddick, Jr., 41, of Cambridge. He will be arraigned today on three counts of Rape of a Child with Force in the Cambridge District Court.

The Department of Transportation will host an information session about the EZRide Shuttle and its recently expanded schedule. This event will include a short presentation on the EZRide, which is a shuttle bus service that is open to the public for free. The Shuttle goes from North Station through Kendall Square and MIT to Cambridgeport on weekdays. We will show the route and its recently expanded schedule, including the new weekend service. Information about the Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) Afterschool Programs Lottery. Cambridge families use the Afterschool Lottery application to apply to Childcare Afterschool Programs, Community Schools, King Open Extended Day, and Cambridge Youth Programs.

This new program is aimed at protecting the health of our local rivers and reducing street flooding. Residents and business owners are encouraged to participate by claiming a storm drain in their neighborhood and keeping it clear of debris, particularly ahead of rain events. With 5,800 City owned storm drains in Cambridge, the task of maintaining them is substantial. City crews work diligently to clear storm drains before and after storms, but this task can be completed more quickly with community assistance.
