Meeting minutes of the Commission on the Status of Women meeting held December 3, 2015

Working with the Traffic and Parking department, we’ve created six individual data sets containing different types of street parking restrictions (street occupancy permits for different reasons) and used those six sets and other parking data to create a master parking restriction data set.

Below are some of the generous ways our community has stepped up for their neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In July, the City Manager’s Office in collaboration with the Cambridge Public Health Department launched the Cambridge Community Corps program, which was developed to help encourage Cambridge residents to adopt and keep practicing safe habits, such as wearing a mask and maintaining good hand hygiene, which will help slow the spread of COVID-19. The Corps Members will be giving positive reinforcement on healthy behaviors and having friendly and helpful interactions with their neighbors.

The STEAM Initiative has three connected, data-driven math initiatives that focus on math equity through the lens of racial justice. These initiatives span early childhood to Grade 12, in both out-of-school-time (OST) and in-school learning spaces.

Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a democratic process that empowers community members to help decide how to spend part of a public budget. The City will allocate a record-high $2 million for this year’s process, which doubles the previous budget of $1 million. The PB outreach team will be collecting ideas from the Cambridge community through direct outreach in public spaces and at public events Sept. 11-Oct. 9, 2023.

The Louis A. DePasquale playground was recently named a 2024 “Best of Boston” / Best Outdoor Play Space by Boston Magazine.
