Pilot Program
CitySmart began as a pilot program to test how social marketing affects transportation choices. We hoped to shift approximately 10% of single-occupant vehicle trips to more sustainable modes, such as walking, bicycling and transit.
Free Wifi and Soofa Benches in 3 Parks
This project would install free public wifi in 3 Cambridge parks that are in areas with limited access to free wifi and 10 solar-powered benches that allow residents and visitors to charge their electronic devices for free in public areas.
The Impact of CET Outreach Workers
Outreach Workers build relationships with Cambridge families and share information about community events and resources offered by the City of Cambridge. Tagesech, a graduate of the Community Learning Center's Bridge to College Program, shares her journey as an Outreach Worker with the Amharic-speaking community in Cambridge.
