A stormwater control permit is required for construction, development and redevelopment projects in the City of Cambridge to ensure that measures are taken throughout the project to address erosion, nonpoint source pollution, and flood control.
Memorial Drive over Brookline Street Meeting
A Virtual Public Information Meeting will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to introduce the project to replace the William Reid Overpass Cambridge – Bridge Replacement, C-01-026, Memorial Drive Over Brookline Street in Cambridge, MA.
Improve Parks with Shade Structures and Seating
Make parks and dog parks more comfortable for visitors by building one to two shelters with seating for rainy or sunny days. This project would also fund additional benches and tables in various parks across the city.
Renovation of Bus Shelter at Comeau Field Rindge Ave
This project entails a major redesign and renovation, with community participation, of the 83 bus shelter. New features will include acrylic panels with cut-out figures and a roof element evocative of nearby recreation and natural habitat.
Cambridge SIP Working Group Meeting 5
At the fifth Working Group meeting for Safety Improvement Project on Cambridge St, Members will discuss near-final plans for Section A, upcoming utility work on Cambridge St, and look ahead to future sections of the corridor.
Improve Safety for Pedestrians
Improve safety for people who use the side walk to get to schools, hospitals, and senior living facilities. This project will install raised crosswalks, interactive speed limit signs, and flashing crosswalk signs to assist with safe travel.
Bike Parking and Bike Repair Stations
Biking infrastructure doesn’t end with bike lanes. This project will construct a bike shelter with 20 covered spaces. Install 50 new bike racks with a capacity for 100 bikes and install 10 new bike repair stations.
Danehy Park Fitness, Signs, Dog Park, Scoreboards
This project will bring much-needed improvements to Danehy Park, with great positive impact for Cambridge residents. New fitness equipment, signs, dog park lights for evening use, and scoreboards will make Danehy Park better utilized.
