Kick off Pride Month with Drag Story Time at the Central Square Branch Library! Join us on Saturday, June 7 at 11 a.m. in the Lewis Room for songs and stories about what makes each of us fabulous. This program is for children and their caregivers. No registration required.

You’re invited to our July Brewery Book Club, where Lamplighter and the Cambridge Public Library team up to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices while having a beer. We meet at Lamplighter Brewing Co., 284 Broadway, in the back taproom. This month we’ll read Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. The e-book and digital audiobook can be borrowed through the Libby app. We’ll gather in the Lamplighter back taproom to discuss the book, what we learned from it, what we found ourselves touched by, and all other thoughts. Stop by Joan Lorentz Park to kick off summer with a live performance from Crocodile River Music, arts and crafts, free ice cream, and more! Pick up your Summer Reading bingo board and learn more about special events happening all summer long. Bring a chair, food, and loved ones to celebrate the summer! All ages are welcome!

Join José Mateo Ballet Nutcracker cast members in the Lecture Hall for a fun story time reading of The Nutcracker coupled with live ballet dancing. Learn some ballet moves and meet the dancers as well! All ages.

Party like you just got your first library card! All Kindergartners, along with their families and friends, are welcome to attend. We will have activities, crafts and snacks.

Join us to write holiday cards for your neighbors! We will provide pens, art supplies, and blank cards for you to decorate. You are welcome to bring your own cards if you have them. Registration is required.
