The City of Cambridge is looking for volunteers to serve on the Black, Indigenous, People of Color-Owned (BIPOC) Business Advisory Committee for a two (2) year term. The goal of this group is to work with City staff to build policies and programs to better assist BIPOC-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

Join us as we edit and create Wikipedia pages related to Black history, with a focus on Black Cantabrigians. We will use resources from the Library's Archives and Special Collections and the Black Voices Collection at the Central Square Branch. At this Wikipedia edit-a-thon, we'll work together to contribute to Wikipedia, focusing on expanding our knowledge of underrepresented groups. You might add to the information on an existing page, create a new one, find reliable sources for others to use, or copyedit and format a page. All experience levels welcome! You do not need to have experience editing Wikipedia to attend and contribute! Laptops will be provided. Inspections must be scheduled in person at Fire Headquarters, 491 Broadway.

Kick off Black History Month with a night of jazz and poetry on February 7.

Join Cambridge native and former Master Chef contestant, Malcolm Green, as he prepares stuffed salmon with shrimp and spinach, topped with a Creole cream sauce, in celebration of Black History Month as part of the Cambridge Cooks Series. Cambridge Cooks promotes healthy eating and the local restaurant scene by inviting a local chef for a cooking demo followed by a tasting.

Join Angela Tate, the Chief Curator at Boston's historic Museum of African American History, for a presentation about the Black Voices of the Revolution: Liberty, Emancipation, and the Struggle for Independence, an exhibition currently on display at the MAAH. Registration is required.
