Affordable housing has long been a top priority for Cambridge, starting with the City Council. In support of this, the City commits substantial resources and works diligently to address affordable housing needs in the community.

The Cambridge Police Department’s Harvard Square/Central Square Unit builds strong relationships with businesses, residents, and associations to enhance safety and trust in these vibrant districts. Officers embedded in the squares work closely with the community to address concerns, fostering open communication and collaboration. Their presence is seen as essential to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment in both squares.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Mark your calendars for ways that you could get involved in educating our community and spreading awareness.

Curious about “forest bathing” (spoiler alert: no water required) and "rewilding" yourself? Come once or join every workshop in this 6-part series to explore the concept of "Shinrin-yoku" (“forest bathing”) which is the practice of being mindful and contemplative within nature, using all your senses. The experiential portion of the workshops will focus on our senses one at a time, workshop-by-workshop, through simple mindfulness exercises, gentle guided nature imagery, and other grounding activities that promote relaxation and (re-)connection with ourselves and with nature. No level of physical ability or prior experience with meditation or mindfulness is necessary — just an openness to relax and explore a new way of calming and connecting. Questions? This is a four session learn-to-play series for 12-18-year-olds! The first session we will create characters, and the following three sessions we will learn and play together. No prior DnD experience is required, and experienced players are also welcome to join. Snacks provided. Registration Recommended, participation cap of 8 players.
