Used Car Class II Policy Memo
There will be no new Used Car Dealer Class II Licenses issued, unless it can be shown that there is an extraordinary need for such license and that it benefits the citizens of Cambridge.
Cambridge Supports Meet Your Neighbor Days Events
As part of the initiative, the City is encouraging residents to introduce themselves and engage with their neighbors. Residents can submit their events to the online Meet Your Neighbors Day map. Hosts are only limited by their imagination!
Chill Out at a Cool Spot This Summer
Cool Spots are public spaces where community members are encouraged to gather, connect, and cool off. In the first round of implementation completed in June 2025, four pilot locations for Cool Spots have been launched across the City.
Faster, Better #1 Bus for Cambridge
Increase on-time trips and reduce bus commuter transit times for the #1 Bus on Massachusetts Avenue by installing a Transit Signal Priority system at intersections allowing buses to extend green lights to get through traffic faster.
2025 MBTA Red Line Closures
The MBTA’s Track Improvement Program aims to eliminate all speed restrictions on the Red Line and to bring the tracks to a state of good repair. Work on the Red Line will result in multiple closures throughout the year.
