On October 22, the Department of Public Works (DPW) presented nine strategies to City Council’s Health & Environment Committee on draft changes to improve on the City’s waste programs. The draft strategies are part of the City’s updated Zero Waste Master Plan (ZWMP), and the City seeks feedback from all Cambridge stakeholders by November 30, 2024.

Election Night unofficial results include in-person early voting, mail-in ballots received before Election Day, and ballots processed by tabulators at the polling places. These results do not include hand-counted ballots (auxiliary ballots), write-in results, provisional ballots, or on-time mail-in ballots received on or after November 5, 2024.

Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Pizza will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Hoops by Matt Tavares, a historical fiction graphic novel follows the story of a girl’s basketball team in the 1970’s as they fight for the same treatment that the boy’s team receives. Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family. As COVID-19 vaccination efforts continue to ramp up in the Commonwealth, we are working to match both clinical and non-clinical volunteers to vaccination sites where they can offer important assistance based on site specific needs We are also building lists of potential volunteers to maximize overall response efforts.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration amended the emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, authorizing the use of a single booster dose for administration to individuals 5 through 11 years of age at least five months after completion of a primary series with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine.
