$450K In Covid Relief Awarded To 25 Cambridge Cultural Organizations
Applicants were eligible for up to $30,000 each via the Create Cambridge: Arts Nonprofit Recovery Grant from the City of Cambridge (managed by Cambridge Arts and the city’s Community Development Department), in partnership with the Create Cambridge cultural nonprofit coalition, with funding from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
Baker-Polito Administration to Lift COVID Restrictions May 29, State to Meet Vaccination Goal by Beginning of June
The Baker-Polito Administration announced that the Commonwealth is on track to meet the goal of vaccinating 4.1 million residents by the first week of June and all remaining COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted effective May 29. The Commonwealth’s face covering order will also be rescinded on May 29.

Baker-Polito Administration Announces Vaccine Timeline for All Residents, Provides Weekly Dose Updates & $27.4 Million in Federal Funding for Vaccine Equity Initiative
Governor Baker announced the dates that all remaining residents and certain worker groups will be eligible for a vaccine. The Commonwealth’s detailed timeline adheres to the original timeline for the three phases announced in December. All residents can preregister to book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at mass.gov/COVIDVaccine.
Active Investigation Underway into Incident at 8-10 Harvard Sq. Protest
The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) is aware of and actively investigating an incident that occurred during a protest in Harvard Sq. on Sunday, August 10th. The incident, which is depicted in a widely circulated social media video, shows a motorist brandishing an axe during an altercation with protesters.
