Start the year off right by getting to know Cambridge birds! All ages are welcome to join us as we observe birds at Fresh Pond, which provides habitat for many different species at all times of the year. This event will focus on birds that can be found in the winter in Cambridge, including several species of ducks, sparrows and more. We may also see some of our year-round resident birds, and we will discuss general birdwatching tips and learn more about the birds we share our outdoor spaces with. A limited supply of binoculars will be available. Please dress accordingly as we will be outside for the entire walk. Registration is required for this event. In this workshop, you will learn the history of Pysanky, the centuries old tradition of Ukrainian egg decorating. In this process-based workshop, participants will create and take home their very own special Ukrainian pysanka. All materials will be provided. Registration is required.

The Community Safety Department is a fully funded city department that exists outside of the traditional scope of public safety. Our mission is to provide residents with an alternative police response that will prioritize issues of mental and behavioral health in some of our most vulnerable communities.

The Cambridge Highlands neighborhood, located on the northeastern edge of the city is comprised of a commercial and light industrial area as well as a more residential area at its western end, bordering Belmont. The Fresh Pond Reservation borders the neighborhood to the south.

While trucks and tour buses are allowed to operate within the City of Cambridge, they are still restricted from certain streets, as defined below, unless delivering to addresses on those specific streets. All restrictions are for 24 hours a day, seven days a week unless otherwise noted
