New to Medicare Workshop (Main)
Led by a Minuteman Senior Services state-certified Medicare benefits counselor, this program is for people who are turning 65 or leaving an employer group health plan due to retirement. Topics include Medicare benefits and coverage gaps, when to apply for Medicare, how to apply for Medicare, health insurance plans that work with Medicare, understanding premiums, deductibles and maximum out of pocket costs, and choosing the right supplement plan. It also covers special considerations and the consequences of not enrolling at the right time.
Registration is requested but not required.
Cookbook Club (Collins)

Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join.
Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours.
This event will take place indoors at the Collins Branch at 64 Aberdeen Ave.

Cambridge Police Department Participates in Domestic Violence Awareness Month Vigil
CPD participated in the City of Cambridge’s candlelight vigil on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. outside City Hall. The annual vigil honors the Massachusetts women, men, and children who have tragically lost their lives to domestic violence since last October. Local domestic violence prevention agencies will have resources for survivors and information for the community on how to recognize and talk about domestic violence.
Short Story Reading Group (Central Square)
Drop by the Central Square Branch's Lewis Room to read and discuss “No Flesh Over Our Bones" by Mariana Enriquez. Copies of the story will be provided, along with snacks. No preparation is needed. Registration helpful but not required.

Department of Public Works to Host Arts in the Park Saturday September 27
The Department of Public Works and Adius Arts Initiative are presenting the fourth annual Arts in the Park event on Saturday, September 27, 2025, as part of a continued celebration of local art and The Port Infrastructure Improvements Project currently underway. The event, held at Clement Morgan Park, is aimed at highlighting the neighborhood's rich art and the infrastructure project whose construction is imminent.
