Open Shop- Equipment and Studio Reservations (Main)
During this reservation period, anyone who has completed Hive training and is certified to use equipment or studio(s) can reserve Hive equipment or studio spaces. Staff will assist participants as they are able.
Tool Reservations for this date will open two weeks prior, October 11 at 9am.
Summer Reading: Community Celebration and Community Build (O'Neill)

The following description is for the program that will be on Saturday:
Join friends at the O'Neill Branch to build, build, BUILD your idea of a neighborhood and a community! Let your imagination run wild with LEGOs, Magna-Tiles and other building toys.
We will also have books about neighborhoods and a collaborative art project about our community.
For children ages 5 and up. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by a caregiver. LEGO pieces are choking hazards for young children.

The Cambridge Almshouses and Avon Home for Children
This historic look at caring for the poor portrays the Cambridge Almshouse and poor houses for the homeless, many of whom were children. Those without support became the town’s responsibility; children might be bound out as apprentices or servants, and adults hired as laborers.

Looking for assistance creating a resume or looking for jobs? Join us at the Central Square Branch Library (45 Pearl St.) for assistance with resumes, job hunting, and online applications. Support will be available from 1-3 p.m. No registration is required.
