The Cambridge Public Health Department encourages residents to protect themselves and others by staying up-to-date on COVID vaccinations, wearing masks indoors when outside their own home, and keeping spaces well-ventilated.
Fossil Fuel Free Ordinance
The City of Cambridge Fossil Fuel Free Ordinance is effective March 22, 2024. The ordinance requires new buildings and major renovation projects to be fossil fuel-free. Fossil fuel-free means not using oil, gas, propane, or other fossil fuels. The requirements apply to both residential and non-residential building projects.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, it is an opportunity to raise awareness of sexual violence and support those who have been victimized. For the Cambridge Police Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Unit it is also an opportunity to share the resources we have available to members of our community.
