The First President and the First People: Washington in the Native Northeast (Main/Virtual)
To mark the 250th anniversaries of the American Revolution and the founding of the United States, a coalition of local non-profits and government agencies will present Washington in American Memory, a seven-part speaker series. Residents 75 and Older Are Now Eligible to Register to Get the Vaccine
Residents who are 75 and older can register for their vaccine beginning Wednesday, January 27 at www.mass.gov/COVIDVaccineMap, and will be able to get their vaccines at any of the “Mass Vaccination Sites.” At this time, there are no vaccination sites in Cambridge due to limited vaccine availability.

Cambridge Public Health Department Hosting Flu Clinics and Offering Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines
The Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) strongly recommends that residents get a flu vaccine this season. While a flu vaccine is always good preventative health care, it is especially important this year given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the flu vaccine, CPHD will also be offering free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and boosters at the clinics. We encourage people who are unvaccinated, especially young people (12 and older), to use this opportunity to get both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines.
City of Cambridge Closures and Service Information for Veterans Day Holiday Friday, November 11
In observance of the Veterans’ Day holiday on Friday, November 11, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations. Additionally, the offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will be closed on the holiday, though the gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended on the holiday and one day behind schedule. Regularly scheduled street cleaning routes for Friday, November 11 will be cleaned on Monday, October 31.
