August Selection: Baking and the Meaning of Life by Helen Goh. Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join. Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours. The Budget process for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) began in the fall of 2022. This was the first Budget that I have prepared for the City of Cambridge since becoming City Manager. It was an amazing honor to lead that process, and much success is owed to the dedicated city leaders, teams, and staff members, who work incredibly hard everyday to maintain and build a stronger, more equitable and thriving City.

Trauma-informed training explains the widespread impact of trauma and integrates knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices. It was created for law enforcement for several reasons.

Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. Copies of the story will be provided, and no preparation is need. Please drop in! This meeting seeks to provide an important opportunity for residents impacted by the May 11th Memorial Drive shooting to connect, process, voice thoughts and concerns, and begin to heal. Members of the Cambridge Police Department will be on hand to provide an overview of the event, explain the emergency response, and outline what to expect from the investigation and court process. Representatives from the Office of the Mayor, Cambridge Public Health and the Riverside Trauma Center will also be available to share information on how community members can seek any support services.
