Homeless Outreach
As part of the Family and Social Justice Section, the Cambridge Police Department has two officers assigned to the City’s Homeless Outreach Project.
Raising Healthy Children in Cambridge Handbook
This handbook was created by The Healthy Children Task Force (HCTF) to serve as a basic resource for you to support the children in your life. Each section includes information, organized by age range, of anticipated growth and development. HCTF is a community coalition of parents and professional organized in 1990 to promote the health of children in Cambridge.
Public Information Office
The Public Information Office (PIO) acts as the main liaison between the City and the media. The PIO team is happy to assist journalists covering the City of Cambridge. Please contact us for background information on particular stories, to arrange interviews with City staff, or for information on services and programs provided by the City.
Upgrade the Moore Youth Center
The Moore Youth Center is outdated compared to other youth centers. New furniture and equipment will help bring more youth to the center.
Cambridge Affordable Housing Trust
The Affordable Housing Trust will hold its monthly meeting in-person and via Zoom webinar. September's meeting will be held at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave, in the Ackerman Room. Register to join the September 2024 Affordable Housing Trust meeting.

Community Update from Cambridge Police Commissioner Elow on January 4th Fatal Shooting
Following the tragic January 4th fatal police shooting of Arif Sayed Faisal, there have been calls by members within and beyond the Cambridge community for greater transparency, including the public release of the involved officer’s name. Please find an update with the latest information on steps that have been and are being taken since that tragic day.
Family Board Game Night (Valente)
Challenge your family or meet new friends over board games in the Community Room at Valente. The library will supply games and snacks. No registration is required for this drop-in event.
