The Social Justice Group is comprised of officers, who work directly with adults who are homeless, suffering from mental illness or elder abuse/neglect and in need of services.

Every spring, the City explodes into flowers as cherry, serviceberry, pear, redbud, dogwood, and hawthorn trees bloom. This map shows the hot spots where numerous trees are in bloom at once.

The City of Cambridge’s Inspectional Services Department offers free exterior rodent control services through its Private Property Rodent Control Program. Since launching in 2021, the program has helped over 900 qualified residential properties by providing professional inspections, treatments, and follow-up visits. Residents also receive education on effective rodent prevention techniques. The City encourages community-wide participation, as sanitation and shared responsibility are essential to keeping neighborhoods rodent-free.

All residents aged 65 years of age or older who own and occupy their one, two or three family home are eligible for a 15% discount on water/sewer charges.

The meeting will include the latest information on the shooting. The preliminary investigation suggested the fatal shooting was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the general public.

The ICA/Boston’s presentation is organized by Ruth Erickson, Barbara Lee Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs, with Tessa Bachi Haas, Assistant Curator. This is a hybrid event.
