Celebrate Older Americans Month
Every May, the Cambridge Council on Aging (COA) recognizes Older Americans Month, a national campaign led by the federal Administration for Communal Living that recognizes older adults’ contributions to society. The 2026 theme, Champion Your Health, underscores prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as the foundation of healthy aging.

Statement Regarding Individual Located in Fresh Pond
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Pauline Wells have confirmed that on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, shortly after 12:00 p.m., Cambridge Police and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office responded to Fresh Pond in Cambridge for a report of the body of a male individual along the shoreline.
