The City of Cambridge and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) are seeking input from Cambridge residents on weekend closures of Memorial Drive to create Riverbend Park.

The Electrical Department oversees street and park lighting, the City’s Fire Alarm System, and City fiber cable network.

DePasquale Universal Design Playground, located at Danehy Park between Field Street and the Briston Arms residential complex, is the first in Cambridge to fully incorporate Universal Design (UD) - the concept that all parts should be as usable as possible, without changes, by everyone.

Danehy’s signage can be confusing. Fitness stations are hard to find and people work out on benches. The City will improve fitness options for adults, add seating in the dog park, and revamp signage to show everybody what Danehy has to offer.

The City of Cambridge today announced that the Thomas P. O'Neill Jr./Fresh Pond Golf Course will open for the season on Thursday, May 21 and Riverbend Park will be opened for the next two Sundays as part of a pilot program.
