Join Central Square's cookbook club! This month, we're cooking from Smitten Kitchen Keepers: New Classics for your Forever Files by Deb Perelman. This will be a virtual community meeting for the study of city-owned property in Central Square. We will present draft recommendations for the future uses of the sites based on community feedback and input, as well as municipal needs. Central Square City Lots Study: The City of Cambridge Community Development Department (CDD), in collaboration with other city departments and the Cambridge community, is leading a municipal property needs assessment and planning study for city-owned properties in Central Square.

Area-wide planning study for future open space improvements in Eastern Cambridge and Kendall Square, including the development of three new parks and the redesign of a plaza in the heart of the square.

Beginning Spring 2019 and lasting for approximately 12 months, several improvements will be taking place at the Taylor Square Fire Station. Work will be taking place on the interior and exterior of the building. See below for project updates, timeline and additional info.

The Community Development Department and the Department of Public Works are collaborating with the Harvard Square Business Association to mitigate construction-related impacts on local businesses from a variety of construction projects in the area.
