Let’s talk about your favorite comics! Bring in a graphic novel and share your thoughts on why it’s great – or even why it’s terrible. Each month will feature a different reading challenge – you get to pick any comic that you think matches the theme! Celebrate comics with snacks, books, and maybe even the chance to make one yourself! This month’s theme, we're celebrating women artists! Bring in your favorite graphic novel or manga from a female creator and share it. Snacks are provided. This program is for ages 9-12. Esta clase será en español. Esta clase de RCP cubrirá habilidades para salvar la vida de bebés, niños y adultos. Utilizaremos tecnología y práctica para que los estudiantes adquieran habilidades y confianza para ayudar a salvar la vida en una situación médica. Esta clase también cubrirá entrenamiento y el uso de DEA (Desfibrilador Externo Automatizado) para todas las edades, junto con habilidades para salvar la vida de una persona en situación de asfixia. Join us for a book discussion and hangout each month as we read books that celebrate the LGBTQIA+ experience. All readers age 12-15 welcome! Registration is required. It's creepy crawly week at the Library! Kids learn all about Arthropods, the most diverse group of animal life on the planet, during this exciting show-and-tell-and-touch program! Learn, see, hear, touch, and even smell the incredible adaptations these creatures have that help them survive in the wild world. Recommended for children ages 3 and up and their caregivers. No registration is required.

Join us for a virtual Death Cafe - an evening of open, lively, and insightful discussion about death for adults aged 18 and older. While not a support group nor a venue for bereavement, a Death Cafe seeks to provide an unscripted, non-judgmental platform for those wishing to explore the many facets of this often taboo subject. Facilitated by Richard Davis, a long time Death Cafe organizer and hospice volunteer. Come with an open mind, a healthy curiosity, and a willingness to share your thoughts, feelings, and questions with other like-minded individuals. This is a virtual event on Zoom. Space is limited. Celebrate AAPI voices through a poetry open mic & feature! Poets of Asian American/Pacific Islander heritage are invited to share their work and/or recite a cover poem. All adults are welcome to attend. Interested poets can sign up for a 3-5 minute timeslot in the open mic by filling out this form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/g/dszDWm1h2R Following the open mic, we will be featuring Cambridge-based poet Aparna Paul. Aparna Paul (she/her) is a writer, chemical engineer, banana bread enthusiast, & amateur crossword constructor based in Cambridge, MA. Her poetry & prose has been recognized by Reckoning, DMQ Review, & Gaining Ground, among others. She edited the anthology Reflections of The Land (Literary Cleveland, 2022) and is a co-editor of GOOD SOUP, now on hiatus (@goodsoup.mag on insta!). She performs regularly, hosts occasionally, and slams sometimes at the Boston Poetry Slam at the Cantab Lounge. HOME FREE (Game Over Books, 2025) is her debut full-length poetry collection. What’s going on with Cuba and why? This presentation will examine the current crisis in relations between the United States and Cuba in historical context. The Trump administration has brought its own peculiar mix of his “Donroe Doctrine,” Pete Hegseth’s “warrior ethos,” Trump’s claim to be a “president of peace” to a long and troubled relationship with our Caribbean neighbor. The talk will look at the reasons for US enmity towards the Cuban Revolution and how the relationship has evolved in the post-Cold War era until today. Registration is required.
