Board Game Afternoon (Valente)
Join us at Valente for an afternoon of board games and fun! Play with friends, family and neighbors.
The library will provide all materials. This event is recommended for children ages 5+ and their guardians.
Creative Patching (Central Square)
Creative Patching will focus on how to repair holes, tears, and stains in clothing using fabric patches and hand embroidery techniques. Participants will learn about tools and materials for patching, and how to combine fabric patches with simple hand embroidery stitches to create eye-catching visible mends. Leave class with a sampler of techniques that you can refer back to when tackling your own mends at home. Suitable for beginners with little or no sewing experience.
Bento Bags and Napkins with Lenni
Continue building your machine-sewing skills AND create bespoke sewn crafts! In this session, you can choose from a menu of beginner projects including: bento bags and napkins. This session is led by fiber artist and designer Lenni Armstrong.
Registration is required and participants must have completed Sewing 101 in The Hive. Prior attendance of programs such as Sewing Circle or Fiber Arts Adventure does not meet this requirement.

Teens! Help us plan teen programs for the Library. Earn community service hours. Enjoy free snacks. We meet monthly during the school year. No registration is required. Stop by the Teen Room or call 617-349-4027 to learn more.

Turn paper cut-outs into animations with the Gif-O-Graf machine! See your stories come to life!
This program will take the place of our weekly After School Stories and Crafts.
