Join us for stories and an art activity! We will read picture books, collect leaves outside, then return to the Library for an art activity. For children of all ages and their grown-ups. This is a CPL Nature Club activity!

Join us for a guided 60-minute art tour featuring public artwork in East Cambridge and learn about how Cambridge Arts commissions and maintains art for public enjoyment. We will visit three public artworks, and two sidewalk poems. Meet at Centanni Park between the Multicultural Arts Center and the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds. This event is part of our Time Out for Public Art series in collaboration with Cambridge Arts. In October, these will be 60-minute art tours where we visit multiple sites as a group. Registration is required.

Come celebrate the masterpieces created by your neighbors at Central Square's first Great Big Tiny Art Show gallery opening! We'll have tiny art on display, all created by the patrons and staff at the Central Square Branch Library. Light refreshments!

Get creative at the Library and join us for a casual evening of art making. We'll have supplies for drawing and painting, calligraphy, collage, and more along with instructional books to refer to. Bring a friend and come share casual crafting time together. Attendees are welcome to bring their own projects as well.

Paint Your Truth is a community based process painting therapeutic workshop. This in-person event allows you to express your emotions through the power of painting. Let go of stress and connect with others in a supportive environment. No painting experience needed, just an open heart and mind. Come and discover the healing power of art! All materials provided by the Library.

Fall season is in the air, here at the Library! This art class will be a hybrid of indoor and outdoor time. Allowing you to get up close with the trees and leaves to take artistic observations of your surroundings. All supplies will be provided but please bring any protective gear (long sleeves and sweaters) in the event of slightly cold weather. Registration is required.

Join us for a guided 60-minute tour of the Universal Design Playground, an inclusive play area featuring public artworks designed with accessibility and sensory engagement in mind: Paintings by Dominic Killiany, Sensory Hilltop by Mitch Ryerson, and Pipe Dreams by NuVu Studio.
