Join us for a demonstration of capoeira, a unique Afro-Brazilian art form combining martial arts, dance, music and acrobatics. Following the performance, children will have the opportunity to learn basic capoeira movements. Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. Funding for Vacation Week Programming: Live at the Library has been generously provided by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation.

Join the Chhandika Institute for an informative performance of Kathak, a classic story-telling dance and art form from North India. Children of all ages and their caregivers are welcome. The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer programs to Cambridge children and youth currently in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The deadline to apply to the 2025 DHSP Summer Lottery application is Monday, March 9.
