Cambridge Arts and the City of Cambridge are distributing grants totaling $260,961 to 53 artists and cultural organizations for fiscal year 2024 through three funding opportunities that Cambridge Arts offered last fall—including Art for Social Justice Grants, Local Cultural Council Grants, and Organizational Investment Grants.

A Dumpster Permit allows you to reserve curb space for the purpose of temporarily placing a dumpster on a City street for moving debris or garbage from a construction site. Dumpster permits are issued for a maximum of two spaces.

Bike repair stations need to be fixed around the City and need a program for routine maintenance. This project will create that three-year program and expand usable tools by installing five additional stations, ensuring tools are available for all.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Beginning Tuesday, April 14, the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) will provide an aggregate count of COVID-19 positive case count data that includes all Cambridge residents (whether they live in a skilled nursing facility or elsewhere in the city).

To allow women in Cambridge to gain the tools necessary to protect themselves, the Cambridge Police Department currently offers a self-defense training course for women ages 16 and older, who live or work in the City of Cambridge.
