The Cambridge Highlands neighborhood, located on the northeastern edge of the city is comprised of a commercial and light industrial area as well as a more residential area at its western end, bordering Belmont. The Fresh Pond Reservation borders the neighborhood to the south.

All are welcome to attend the Cambridge Public Library's free outdoor yoga summer series every other Tuesday starting July 14 until August 25. No registration is necessary. The Library will not provide any materials - please bring your own mat and whatever item is in your practice. In case of rain, yoga will be held in the community room. Shayla Tate of M.U.D.D. The City of Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative is offering a vaccine clinic on Sunday, May 23 at CambridgeSide Mall using the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine. This clinic is free and open to all people 18 years of age and older who live and work in Cambridge.

TP+T received a petition from a group of Cambridge residents requesting that we add "Parking by Permit Only" signs in the Cambridge Highlands. The City conducted a survey to gauge neighborhood interest in this change, which was completed on April 30th.

The Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) reported on today that the number of known COVID-19 deaths among Cambridge residents has reached 100 and that 1,380 residents have tested positive for the disease since the first cases in the city were reported on March 13, 2020.

The City of Cambridge has submitted an Interim Action Plan to the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) as required by a new state law requiring communities served by the MBTA to have zoning districts that allow muti-family housing to be built as-of-right.
