Families are invited to join us for a drop-in creative coding workshop using OctoStudio, a new app developed by the team behind Scratch. We will make digital interactive poetry together! No registration required. Adults are encouraged to participate alongside their children! Devices will be provided or families may bring their own. Food will be provided!

This special edition of our Sewing 101 is offered in collaboration with Cambridge Wildlife Arts (Green Cambridge). In this 90-minute workshop, you'll learn the basics of sewing machine operation and safety. This session will cover machine setup, basic functions, threading the machine, reloading the bobbin, sewing straight stitches, and recognizing when stitch tension has gone awry. We’ll also cover some safety best practices when operating a sewing machine. As we learn together, we’ll work on a simple sewing project—hemming blank banners for the Banners Project launched by Cambridge Wildlife Arts.

We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories, and rhymes about taking care of our planet! No registration is required. Please call (617) 349-4019 for details.

Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Class. This class will be taught at an intermediate level. No testing is needed. For more information call the O'Neill Branch at 617-349-4023.

Have you ever wanted to design your own custom nail set? Well come to the Library and dive into the world of nail art. Local licensed nail tech, Munah of Fine Geh Glam, will guide you in this fun and creative art class. You will learn about proper nail care and treatments and leave with a one-of-a-kind nail set of your own. All supplies will be provided by the Library.
