Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for a meander through the neighborhood to meet city plants and explore their medicinal uses! We will explore weeds and cultivated plants, trees and shrubs, and have lots of space for questions and conversation. Bring a notebook if you like, and meet us at the Central Square Branch Library. Note this program begins at the library but will then walk throughout the neighborhood -- arriving late may mean you miss the group at the library and will not be able to catch up.

Join in to reflect on and identify goals for the new year as we create visual representations of those goals with collage! Crafting materials such as paper, magazines, scissors, and glue sticks are provided. No registration needed, no cost. Example selections include: Neuromancer by William Gibson and The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. Requirements: A love of speculative fiction and a desire to talk about books. The group is friendly and informal. How to get the print book: Copies of the print book are set aside at the Main Library Question and Answer desk on the ground floor. Visit the Main Library at 449 Broadway during service hours and a staff member can help you check out a copy. E-books and digital audiobooks are available on Libby or Hoopla. Turn paper cut-outs into animations with the Gif-O-Graf machine! See your stories come to life! This program will take the place of our weekly After School Stories and Crafts. No registration required. Recommended for children ages 4+ and their caregivers.

Join us for a cozy craft at the O’Connell Branch! Take a moment to reflect on 2025 and create your own vision board for 2026. All materials will be provided. This is a drop-in event designed for all ages. No registration required.

Members of the Kids' Zine Collective and Cambridge Young Authors' Squad are invited to a party to celebrate their work from this year! Kids can bring zines to swap and/or writing to share. Food provided! No registration is necessary.

Join us for a high energy comedy yo-yo show. For children of all ages and their caregivers. This program will be outdoors and will move indoors in the case of inclement weather.
