139 Bishop Allen Drive (Vail Court) Community Meeting
The City and Trust will be hosting a community meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 6 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and updates on the site and the anticipated redevelopment process, in advance of the CAHT’s issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select an affordable housing developer for the site. The meeting will be held virtually by Zoom and there will be an opportunity for community feedback. Stephen Greenblatt presents: Dark Renaissance (Main)
Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Dr. Stephen Greenblatt—Cogan University Professor of the Humanities at Harvard University, general editor of The Norton Anthology of English Literature, and the author of fourteen books including The Swerve, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award—for a discussion of his new book Dark Renaissance: The Dangerous Times and Fatal Genius of Shakespeare's Greatest Rival. He will be joined in conversation by Neel Mukherjee—author of four novels, including The Lives of Others, which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize. Registration is required.

The Housing Department supports the development and preservation of many types of affordable housing throughout the City of Cambridge.
City Dance Party is Back Friday, June 23, 6-10 p.m. Note Mass Ave will be closed from Prospect Street to Lee Street.
The dance extravaganza with DJ spun music is a special opportunity for the entire Cambridge community to celebrate the start of summer. After dark, colorful lights will be launched, adding to the magic of the evening. Exhibit: Beloved Apple Tree Reborn Via Public Art Project Coming To Cambridge School
When a beloved apple tree was removed as part of the reconstruction of the City of Cambridge's Tobin Montessori and Darby Vassall Upper Schools complex, cuttings from the tree were saved. A new exhibition at Cambridge Arts’ Gallery 344 shows how “The Community Grafting Project,” a public art project the city has commissioned from the architectural and design studio TSKPxIKD, is giving the original tree new life.
