Recovery Month Book Club
Join us for a special book group in honor of Recovery Month. Recovery Month, observed each September, affirms that recovery from substance use and mental health challenges is possible, and shows the city's support for every Cambridge community member in all stages of their recovery journeys. We will be reading Men We Reaped by Jasmyn Ward.
Registration is helpful but not required.
This event was created in partnership with the Cambridge Public Health Department.
Cambridge Open Data Class (Main)
The City of Cambridge offers free access to hundreds of datasets on its Open Data Portal, covering everything from crime and traffic to property and even dog names. Join us for a hands-on workshop at the Cambridge Public Library to explore what's available and learn how to analyze and visualize this data — including how to use AI tools for data exploration. No prior experience or expertise is required.
Register online here.
CPL Nature Club: Bug Walk (Boudreau)
Join us for a walk at Fresh Pond as we explore the wonderful world of bugs! We will learn about some common local insects, arachnids, and other invertebrates, and get to know some plants that host lots of bug species.
This program is open to all ages, from adults to children and their caregivers. Registration is required. For more information, contact Michael McGlathery at mmcglathery@cambridgema.gov or call the Boudreau Branch at 617-349-4017.
Collins Branch Book Club (Collins/Virtual)
February selection: The Weeds by Katy Simpson Smith.
Join us in person or online to discuss a selection of fiction and nonfiction titles for adults. Please register below if you would like to attend via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants one hour before the event.
Print copies are available to pick up during library hours.
