The City of Cambridge today announced the adoption of the Public Domain Dedication and License (PDDL) for its open datasets. This license ensures that users can freely access, modify, and share the City’s robust datasets without legal encumbrances, while clearly communicating that that the city provides its data without warranty.

The City of Cambridge announced the appointment of 8 members to a new City Manager’s Small Business Advisory Committee. Representing business associations from across the City, the Advisory Committee will provide expert advice and help draft best practices that the City can incorporate into its “Small Business Back to Business” plan.

The City of Cambridge announced the results for the ninth Participatory Budget (PB) Process. From December 1-11, 8,707 Cambridge residents age 12 and older voted to decide how to spend $1 million on capital projects to improve the community, representing the most votes yet in a Cambridge PB process.

The last two years have highlighted the importance of access to outdoor open space. In FY22, the City launched the Our Parks, Our Plan process to develop an action plan for the City’s open space network, applying an equity lens to criteria that include park access and climate resilience.

The website and mental health campaign were created by the Cambridge Youth Council.

The Traffic Board is a three-member board established to review petitions regarding the adoption, alteration, and repeal of the City’s Traffic Rules and Regulations and to provide advice and consultation to the Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department.

The Community Development Department (CDD) guides planning and future growth in a manner that best supports the overall health, sustainability and diversity of the city.
