The Commission administers the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (310 CMR 10.0), reviewing, permitting and inspecting projects in or adjacent to Cambridge’s wetlands, floodplains and water bodies.
Submit a Special Events Committee Application
A Special Event is a large event such as a festival, road race, parade, film shoot or walkathon. Such events may feature entertainment, amusement rides and food and beverages. Special events may require a number of permits from various City departments depending on the size and nature of the event. The City's Public Works Department manages the City's Special Event program.
New Trash Carts Arriving Soon
The Department of Public Works (DPW) will deliver standard trash carts to all buildings where the City collects trash between June 6-24.

The Cambridge Public Library (CPL) is a dynamic, community-oriented system providing excellent services, collections and programs to all members of the community.
Wellness for Older Adults: Low-impact Fitness (Central)
This class is designed for people of all levels to strengthen the muscles, the heart and the brain--all while having fun and moving to great music! Come as you are and take everything at your own pace. This class is conducted from a standing position and incorporates exercises like modified lunges, cardio, and body resistance strength training. Registration for each session is required. This is an in-person event in the Lewis Room of the Central Square Branch Library.
