City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday, and payments will not be required at parking meters and parking meter pay stations. The offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will also be closed on July 4, however, the cemetery gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The City of Cambridge announced that, effective Monday, March 1, 2021, the City will advance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to Phase III, Step 2 of the Commonwealth’s reopening plan, with limited exceptions. An Emergency Order will be issued today by the City prohibiting live musical performances at restaurants until further notice and delaying the opening of indoor performance venues until March 22, 2021. In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, December 24-25, and Thursday, January 1. We also want residents to be aware that the Cambridge Police Department expects reports of package thefts to increase this time of year, particularly with more residents doing their shopping online.
