Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Heatwaves & Hard Truths Book: The Heat Will Kill You First: Life and death on a scorched planet by Jeff Goodell Meetings will be held on the fourthThursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available at the Collins Branch during library hours. Let’s feed the hungry in our city. A freezer van is the vital piece of equipment that would allow Cambridge and its partners to potentially double prepared food rescue deliveries from roughly 3,500 healthy frozen meals to 7,000 each week.

The Inspectional Services Department (ISD) is responsible for the enforcement all laws and related City ordinances that pertain to the Massachusetts State Building Code and certain articles of the State Sanitary Code. ISD also enforces the Zoning Ordinance.

With the State of Emergency ending on June 15, the City of Cambridge and the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) would like to thank all of the partners who have made the City’s robust response to the COVID-19 pandemic possible.
