Join us for a Know Your Rights presentation led by an attorney from De Novo.
This session will share important updates for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients, including:
How to renew your TPS
Work permit and travel information
Legal supports and available resources
You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and connect with local organizations that can help with ongoing support. This a hybrid event. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event. We will be providing interpretation in Spanish and Haitian Creole on location during the event. Registration is encouraged but not required. Pizza will be provided!

COVID-19 Testing Available Three Days per Week in August
As of August 2, the City of Cambridge will offer free COVID-19 testing three days per week, on Sundays from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at 50 Church Street, Mondays from 4:00-8:00 p.m. inside the Cambridgeside Mall, and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. inside the CambridgeSide Mall. No appointment is needed.
Attend an Education Job Fair on Wednesday, October 19
Learn about job openings at local employers. Get assistance updating your resume before attending the job fair. Make an in-person or virtual appointment with a Career Counselor in the Office of Workforce Development to review your resume and get feedback on how to strengthen it. Appointment slots are available Monday, October17, from 3-6 p.m.
Cambridge Preschool Program Application Opens on December 1.
The Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP), also known as universal preschool, will provide free preschool to Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. CPP will offer families a streamlined, single application process where they can apply to a variety of Cambridge-based preschool programs.
Families can apply to CPP from December 1 – January 15.
Live at the Library: Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals (Collins)
Meet a cast of larger-than-life, hand-crafted puppet characters in this funny and interactive variety show. Sing, dance and participate in a fast-paced series of stories that explore feelings, kindness and bravery. Recommended for children ages 3-8 and their caregivers.
Funding for Vacation Week Programming: Live at the Library has been generously provided by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation.
Apply to DHSP Summer Camps and Programs
The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer camps and programs to Cambridge children and youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. At these summer camps, children and youth learn new skills, make connections, and have fun! Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The online application process closes Sunday March 3.
Borderland: The Line Within
Join us for a resource fair followed by a screening of a powerful documentary exploring how immigration enforcement impacts communities across the US. The film will be followed by a presentation from LUCE and a reflection.

Arthropod Petting Zoo with Professor Bugman (O'Neill)
It's creepy crawly week at the Library!
Kids learn all about Arthropods, the most diverse group of animal life on the planet, during this exciting show-and-tell-and-touch program! Learn, see, hear, touch, and even smell the incredible adaptations these creatures have that help them survive in the wild world.
Recommended for children ages 3 and up and their caregivers. No registration is required.
Connect with New Parents Through Baby University
Baby University (Baby U) is a free 14-week program that supports Cambridge families with children age 0–3. Through Saturday workshops, one-on-one visits, and community connections, Baby U helps parents build stronger relationships with their children—and each other—while offering long-term support through the Baby U Alumni Association.
