The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), formerly called the Fuel Assistance Program, helps income-eligible residents who live in Cambridge or Somerville pay winter heating bills between November 1 and April 30. Renters and homeowners are eligible to apply if they meet federal income guidelines.

This golf season, Fresh Pond Golf Course was proud to host more than 54,053 rounds of golf! Dispose of your medications safely at Medication Takeback Day at the Cambridge Senior Center! The Cambridge Public Health Department, Cambridge Police Department, and Cambridge Council on Aging are hosting a Medication Takeback Event on Monday, October 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

As you begin your holiday shopping is or if you’re preparing in advance of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and/or Cyber Monday, the Cambridge Police Department wants to encourage residents and businesses to once again consider supporting the “Secret Santa for Seniors” gift drive.
