Poetry lovers and skeptics alike are invited to this weekly workshop where we’ll read poems that nourish the mind and spirit. We’ll consult a diverse selection of contemporary and classic poets on meaningful topics, share personal reactions, and engage in reflective writing. Sample topics include identity, community, resilience, home, and more. You don’t need to be a writer—or a poetry expert—to participate. Join us and see what’s on the menu!

New music instruments for CRLS would encourage and support arts education for Cambridge students. Newer equipment at the high school would not only benefit high school students but middle school students as well.

The CDC recommendation related to vaccines for children under 5 was issued on Saturday, June 18, and COVID-19 vaccines are now recommended for all children age 6 months and older.

Join us at the Valente library for some dinosaur fun! It's your turn to be a paleontologist: use a chisel and brush to excavate your own tiny dinosaur. We'll play dinosaur trivia and look at dinosaur books! All supplies provided by the library. Recommended for ages 5+. Dinosaur coloring pages will be provided for younger children. This class will be delivered by a DOORS program instructor. Under a Level 2 (Significant Drought), all nonessential outdoor water uses remain banned, except the watering of ornamentals and flower gardens with drip irrigation. Hand-held hose or watering cans may be permitted.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is partnering with local businesses to host free COVID-19 vaccination clinics during school vacation week, April 18-22, at a variety of family-friendly venues.

Join us for our annual Winter Bike Ride! There will be mechanics on site pre-ride for safety checks and quick maintenance. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided after the ride.
