Create your very own one-page tabletop role playing game. In this two-session class, you will learn how to design your own game from scratch. We will cover themes, mechanics, and get started on making your idea a reality. No prior experience needed, all materials provided. Ages 10-14, registration required! (Registering for Session 1 also registers you for Session 2 on Tuesday 4/14. Please attend both sessions!) The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. "What would you say to Time if you got the chance?” Michael Talbot asks in his new exhibition, “Conversations With Time,” at Cambridge Arts’ Gallery 344 from Nov. 17, 2025, to Jan. 16, 2026. Join us for an opening reception on Nov. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a poetry reading at 6 p.m. Admission to all events is always free.

City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Please also note that all library locations will also be closed on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Parking meter payments will not be required at Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations on January 1 and 2, 2023.

Join the Cambridge Public Library in celebrating Pride Month by welcoming Kristen Arnett, author of Mostly Dead Things, With Teeth, and—published just this past March—STOP ME IF YOU'VE HEARD THIS ONE. After a reading from her work, Arnett will be joined in conversation by Jill McDonough, author of five books of poetry including American Treasure and Here All Night. Called "a perversely funny novel about family, ambition, and desire" (Shelf Awareness), STOP ME IF YOU'VE HEARD THIS ONE follows a professional clown, Cherry Hendricks, as she tries to stay true to her needs as a person as well as an artist. This is a hybrid event and registration is required. This event is cosponsored by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation.

Join us for a cozy afternoon reading together. Read your own books from home, or check out something new! The library will provide book ideas, comfy seating, and quiet music. Board books, coloring, and toys will be available for pre-reading children. (Stuffies and blankies are welcome!) For families with children of all ages.

Are you turning 65 soon and losing your employer-based health insurance coverage? Are you currently receiving Medicare and interested in updating your coverage? Medicare’s Open Enrollment period will run through December 7, 2024. It is the only time of year that Medicare enrollees can review coverage, compare benefits and premiums, and make changes based on current health status, medications and finances.

This program will be rescheduled on a future date. We apologize for the inconvenience. Join us as we learn to make unique and creative books using paper, scissors, and a little bit of glue. No registration required. This event is intended for school-aged children, and is open to drop-in attendees while supplies last.

Young people ages 10 to 14 who love to write are welcome to share their ideas and writing. Snacks are provided! CYAS is currently working on a group story. At this meeting we will be working collaboratively on writing/editing. If you are attending for the first time, registration is helpful, but not required.

Cambridge GIS is all about Cambridge spatial data. We are constantly working on creating, maintaining, and delivering to our users the most accurate and reliable GIS datasets we can. We supply datasets, services, and applications to City staff, as well as to visitors to our website and other departmental sites which host our maps and apps.
